In a telephone conversation with relatives a few days ago, political prisoner Özgür Karakaya, who is on the 92nd day of the hunger strike, said: “We do not believe in justice, in the palaces of the AKP!” “Pretending to be concerned about the health of the death fast resisters, they are trying to place all the blame and responsibility on us,” he said, referring to the vile maneuvers of the fascist government in Turkey. He also said in the conversation: “No one can take away our right to resist from our hands. We want justice and we will win. Long live our Death Fast resistance. The palaces will collapse, Turkey will be free! ”, With these words he once again showed his determination to continue the resistance until the end.

“We do not believe in justice, in the palaces of the AKP. To be able to achieve true justice, we have taken a step forward. Helin, Ibrahim, and Mustafa did not want to die. Those who killed them were the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of the Interior, which did not accept their legitimate and fair demands. After Grup Yorum’s demands were accepted, Ibrahim Gokcek began medical treatment. The relevant ministries, which later accepted the demands, are responsible for his death during the treatment. Today, they are still panicky trying to cover up their crimes. Pretending to be concerned about the health of the participants in the Death Fast resistance, they are trying to put all the blame and responsibility on us. The only reason we are on Death Fast is that we cannot get justice. They will try to abduct us to a hospital, where, under the pretext of treating us, they will force us to undergo medical intervention and turn us into the living dead. 

We will not accept their attempts to invalidate us. By denigrating our lawyers, who do not leave us alone and assist us in the legal aspect of things, the government cannot cover up their crimes. I started the Death Fast for justice, along with my comrade, Didem Akman. People’s lawyers Aytaç Ünsal and Ebru Timtik are also on a Death Fast resistance. Until our demands are accepted, we will not accept any treatment methods. We do not want to be subjected to forced medical intervention. Those who try to prepare the ground for this are committing a crime. They will lead to our mutilation. If they try to force us to undergo medical intervention, this will not go unanswered. No one can take away our right to resist from our hands. We want justice and we will win. Long live our Death Fast resistance. The places will collapse, Turkey will be free!”
