1. DID THE CONFERENCE MEET WITH YOUR EXPECTATIONS? NOW THE CONFERENCE IS CONCLUDED, WHAT DO YOU THINK SHOULD BE DONE TO TAKE ITS WORK FORWARD?
For me it was the first Conference of that kind and therefore I would rather not concentrate on my expectations but on my appraisal of this conference as an important step towards unifying the efforts of all left ml-parties and organisations in their struggle against imperialism for socialism.
2. WHAT IS THE POSITION OF THE WORLD’S LEFT ABOUT INTERNATIONALISM?
CAN IT TAKE MORE CONCRETE STEPS TO CHANGE AND DEVELOP THE PRESENT SITUATION? WHAT IS YOUR PARTY’S ROLE IN IT?
The left should see their task in realising the concrete steps which have been approved by the conference. It is more reasonable to think about further steps on the basis of real achievements in the context of carrying out the decisions adopted by the conference.
As far our party is concerned, we will do our best to organise the
effective resistance to imperialism and its policies
3. HOW DO YOU EVALUATE THE POLITICAL SITUATION IN TURKEY AND KURDISTAN? HOW DO YOU SEE THE REVOLUTION BEING BROUGHT ABOUT THERE?
In general terms we agree with the position of the DHKP-C in its analysis of the present situation in Turkey and Kurdistan. We consider that the condition for a socialist revolution in principle exists everywhere in the Capitalist world. Of course it is for the people in Turkey and for the organisations leading their struggle against imperialism to correctly evaluate the possibility of revolution in Turkey, considering in particular its political and military aspects including the capability of the left to carry on practical leadership in preparing revolution.
