Members of the People’s Front took part in the Liebknecht – Luxemburg – Demonstration in Berlin

Like every year, members and supporters of the People’s Front in Europe took part in the demonstration in memory of the founders of the Communist Party of Germany – Karl Liebknecht and Rosa Luxemburg, which takes place every year, on the second Sunday of January, in the capital city of Germany – Berlin. 

Along with members and supporters of the People’s Front, members of the Revolutionary Youth from Europe, members of the Justice for Mustafa Kocak and Solidarity with Grup Yorum Committees, as well as friends of the People’s Front from the German leftist organizations, participated in the cortege.

Participants in the demonstration carried red banners, banners and posters with pictures of political prisoner Mustafa Kocak conducting a Hunger Strike till Death(Death Fast) against his unjust sentence of life imprisonment, musician from the leftist music band Grup Yorum Ibrahim Gokcek conducting a Hunger Strike till Death(Death Fast) against the repressions of the fascist oligarchy in Turkey.

Slogans in German and Turkish expressed solidarity with political prisoners in Europe and Turkey. Members of the Justice for Mustafa Kochak and Solidarity with Yorum Committees distributed leaflets and collected signatures in support of Mustafa Kocak and members of the Grup Yorum .

At the end of the demonstration, when traditionally representatives of the organizations which participated in it, give speeches, a member of the People’s Front also spoke. In his speech, he spoke about the hunger strikes of political prisoner Mustafa Kocak and the musicians of the Grup Yorum calling for solidarity with their struggles.

The demonstration ended with tribute to all those who martyred in the struggles for revolution and socialism around the world.
