HÖP: ISOLATION IS KILLING PEOPLE IN TURKEY

ISOLATION IS KILLING PEOPLE IN TURKEY

In the name of globalisation, repression, exploitation and the removal of rights are being globalised. Globalisation, for the international monopolies and for imperialism means to organise, worldwide, common repression against those who fight against centralised exploitation and who oppose this exploitation; it means more repression and the removal of more rights in the colonies and the neo-colonial countries.

While on the one hand the policy of massacres and annihilation is applied all over the world against those who fight exploitation and oppression, on the other hand, an attempt is made to use isolation prisons as a way of making people give up their beliefs. Making people give up their beliefs is a matter of intimidating them. Intimidation is either direct annihilation or the slow deprivation of political identity by means of the policy of isolation.
The policy of imperialism is clear: “TO DESTROY FIGHTING ORGANISATIONS, TO MAKE PEOPLE WHO ARE ORGANISED SURRENDER BY MEANS OF TERROR AND ISOLATION”.

In this sense, the so-called F-Type isolation prisons in Turkey, the high-security prisons and isolation cells in Europe, the camp for “prisoners of War” in Guantanamo and other prisons for political prisoners, such as in Peru, all have the same aim. And all these isolation prison policies have the same aim as the massacre policies in Palestine, Plan C in Colombia, the destruction of Afghanistan by bombs, and the same danger faced by Iraq, such as the removal of democratic rights through the black lists of the USA and the EU, and all policies of repression and suppression against the peoples
of the world today. They all have the same purpose. This single purpose is the destruction of beliefs and organisations which are opposed to globalisation, repression and exploitation.

THE STRUGGLE AGAINST ISOLATION IS THE STRUGGLE AGAINST THE FORCES OF GLOBALISATION

Everyone who opposes the globalisation of exploitation and suppression has to be oppose isolation too. Because besides being a policy of repression by the globalists, it is a kind of torture aimed at the destruction of beliefs and those who hold the beliefs, human beings. This means that it is a crime against humanity, so it is a common duty of everyone who calls him or herself human to take a stand against this policy.

THE BIGGEST RESISTANCE TO ISOLATION IS IN TURKEY

In the whole world struggles have been waged against the policies of isolation. But the biggest one is in Turkey. In Turkey the political prisoners started a resistance until death on October 20, 2000 to oppose the prison isolation which came on the agenda under the name of F-Type prisons. Since that date, 97 of our people have been martyred during the death
fast action started by the political prisoners, and around 500 were left handicapped as a result of the state’s policy of torturing resisters by using force-feeding. Around 500 of our people have lost their memory as a result of force-feeding, and they were made into the “living dead”. The resistance, which began in the prisons of Turkey, wasn’t just limited to the prisons, the relatives of prisoners and the people also became involved. The death fast didn’t stay in the prisons, at the same time it was transformed to a form of resistance, in which families and comrades outside the prisons also participated. Those who were arrested during developing support actions for the death fast all over Turkey started the death fast inside prisons, and those who were released by the state as a form of bribery started their fast against isolation outside the prisons, thus unifying the resistance in the whole country. The struggle, which has been unified inside and outside, added new traditions to the revolutionary traditions in the world. The most important of these traditions is support and solidarity amongst those who fight imperialist policies. The death fast resistance is still continuing today in the prisons of Turkey
and outside with this spirit of solidarity.

THOSE WHO FIGHT ISOLATION IN THE PRISONS OF TURKEY DO NOT JUST STRUGGLE FOR THEMSELVES; AT THE SAME TIME THEY ARE FIGHTING FOR ALL ANTI-GLOBALISTS WHO
ARE THREATENED BY GLOBALISATION AND THE ISOLATION ASSOCIATED WITH IT, BECAUSE THEY ARE RESISTING THE POLICIES OF IMPERIALISM.

LONG LIVE THE DEATH FAST RESISTANCE

ISOLATION HAS TO BE ABOLISHED

LET’S EMBRACE THE WEAPON OF SOLIDARITY TO END ISOLATION
