We are the ones who make the hope blossom in the middle of flames! You cannot do away with us by burning and demolishing!
The fascism of AKP[1] raided the building of Youth Federation in Okmeydanı on November 16th and since that day the rage of not being able to force Revolutionary Youth (Dev-Genç)[2] members to submit is taking it out on it’s doors and walls.
We are talking about a building of an association that was raided 9 times in 1 year, whose members were tortured. And even walking through it doors means paying the price. It is not only a building, it’s an emplacement–whatever the fascism does, it is not surrendering.
In the raid that was carried out on November 16th, AKP’s assassin police arrested Hakan İnci and another high school Revolutionary Youth member. Hakan İnci was imprisoned. Since November 16th, the fascism’s police pulled out the doors and the windows out of the Revolutionary Youth’s building and demolished the interior walls.
The place they entered is not a military base, it’s only a building where University and high school students organise their struggle. However, the fascism’s fear and weakness is so big that it attacks the ones who do not submit to them, in order to get rid of them completely. Since November 16th, the police is waiting in front of the building with the special armoured vehicles and smuggle someone inside. However, the members of Revolutionary Youth, as a result of their insistence and determination, did not give away even the skeleton of their building to the fascism. With the slogans and the banners they spread out, they announced they will not give up on their emplacement.
In this entire war of will, the fascism is not reluctant of resorting to the lowest of methods. Today in the afternoon hours, special armoured vehicles with the numbers J-1[3] and Z-28[4] came again to the door of the association and the police that entered inside the building lit the fire and escaped.
As you see, that’s fascism… It’s helpless enough to set a building of a youth association on fire in the Istanbul’s most central area! They expect the fire to help them intimidate Revolutionary Youth. Yet, their effort is in vain. We did not come out of fire and surrendered! Revolutionary Youth members know very well about Seyhan Doğan who was burned alive in the prison massacre on December 19th 2000.; about the poets who were burned in Sivas; about the 11 guerrillas who were burned in the Dersim mountains! We did not cross the circles of fire and surrendered. You will not intimidate us by destroying and burning our association!
We are addressing all peoples in the world, all our comrades… The fascism has set on fire our empty building. Soon maybe they will try to burn us in groups of hundreds. There is nothing the fascism did not do and will not do in order to guarantee the continuation of this system of oppression and exploitation.
But we are saying that we came out of the fire and came into being! YOU CANNOT FRIGHTEN US, EVEN WHILE BURNING WE ARE THE COMRADES OF THOSE WHO SHOUT “VICTORY”!
ACTUALLY, BE AFRAID! YOU WILL NOT FIND A PLACE TO ESCAPE FROM THE FIRE OF SOCIALISM THAT WILL BURN YOUR ROTTEN SYSTEM! THE FIRE WE LIT WILL SPREAD OVER THE WORLD!
AKP’S FACISM WILL NOT SEIZE 80 MILLION PEOPLE!
THE IMPERIALISM WILL BE DEFEATED, THE PEOPLE WHO RESISTS WILL WIN!
