SOLIDARITY WITH THE HUNGER STRIKES – URGENT ACTION NEEDED!

THIS IS WHAT YOU COULD DO URGENTLY AND ON DAILY BASIS:

1) Please write E-Mails to the Turkish Ministry of Justice and Interior, to the embassies in your countries, urge them to accept the demands of Grup Yorum and Mustafa Kocak, who are in life danger.

2) Call at Izmir Kiriklar F Type prison Nr. 1, (where Mustafa Kocak is kept now, after being severly tortured at Sakran prison), tell them that his demands have to be accepted and he shall be released immediately and unconditionally due to his serious health state and acute pandemy risk!

3) Please produce and send us short video messages in support of the death fasters. This is very important to raise voice for them.

WHY GRUP YORUM RESISTS?

All what Grup Yorum demands is the end of attacks on their arts, the removal of concert bans, the annulation of wanted lists, the end of permanent police attacks and destruction in their cultural center, the end of arbitrary trials and freedom for their imprisoned members.

MUSTAFA KOCAK WAS TORTURED AT SAKRAN PRISON:

He told his lawyer Ezgi Çakir on the 17th March 2020 that prison staff had given him 73 injections to arms and legs and that his body is full of hematomas. His head was trusted up to prevent any movement. The prison staff placed something in his mouth to prevent him from shouting. For five days he was forced to wear eight handcuffs and foot-cuffs and his head and body was fettered with ropes. Prison personnel including the Prison Director, medical staff and secret service police officers were in the room and threatened to harm him by stating that they would cripple him and let him go’.
He was not allowed to go to toilet and forced to urinate on himself while not being washed. He also reported, that he suffered sexual abuse, by putting a truncheon up his anus;

Mustafa’s message to the people outside: “I’m going to continue my resistance. The venes that bursted are my honor!”

After the force feeding torture Mustafa was transfered to Kiriklar F-Type prison in Izmkir. And since about a week the prison authorities deny entry for family and lawyers -even a closed visit – due to pandy, which seems to be an excuse.

WHY MUSTAFA KOCAK RESISTS?

He was sentenced with life imprisonment, only because of a statement, which was signed under police torture and which was even retracted later! All what he wants is a fair trial!

Please make short solidarity videos with your mobile phones and write following sentences on a paper or just speek that text: “I support the just demands of Grup Yorum and Mustafa Kocak. Force feeding is torture, it’s a crime! Mustaf Kocak and Grup Yorum aren’t alone!”
We want to publish those messages as soon as possible.
