This government, acting on the orders of the imperialists, especially
US-imperialism, has nothing to do with the nation and with the people.
The constitution, the laws, all the state institutions, the parliament,
they are all under orders of the imperialists and the oligarchy. Not a
single law or sentence can be in the interests of the people. The
decisions are being made by the imperialists and the IMF, and they are
being implemented by them. They are not the least interested in problems
like the poverty of the people, employment, housing, health care,
education. Together with the imperialists they want to increase their
profits by exploiting the people even more. Those who stand up against
this are being silenced with violence. Executions, massacres,
disappearances, torture, prisons, police bludgeons, bans, all this for
the people. The exploiters, a small group of people who collaborate with
imperialism, are living on the costs of the people, living in luxury
through oppression. Yes, it is their government.

THE COLLABORATORS KNOW NO SHAME

This government, with it’s nationalistic act which has nothing to do
with nationalism, thinking “this is the right occasion”, came up with
the SOCIAL SECURITY LAW, directly touching the lives of the workers and
the civil servants, at a time when tens of thousands died, lost their
houses, were hungry and without water. The servants of the IMF know no
shame. Those who are sold to America cannot think about the civil
servants and the workers. When the country was drenched in blood, when
the people had not even buried their dead, they issued laws to grab away
the last piece of bread from their hands. This puppet government’s
governor of Istanbul, Erol Cakir, says – ostensibly to expose our
organisation – that we have carried an action without thinking of the
earthquake catastrophe. The festive dinner he gave in a 5-star hotel in
Istanbul yesterday, while our people were fighting death in the ruins,
has not been forgotten. Should this governor and his peers possess a
last bit of dignity, they should ask why this government decreed the
Social Security Law in a moment when the people were covered under the
ruins.
On September 10, we, as the Revolutionary People’s Liberation Front,
bombed the Istanbul Area Directorate of the Department of Employment and
Social Security at 7 p.m., and the Marmara Area Directorate of the
Secretariat for Foreign Trade in Istanbul at 7.30 p.m., with the goal
that the Social Security Law is taken back, that the demands of the
workers are being accepted, that the treaties with the IMF are being
ended, and the IMF leaves our country!
Both bombs were equipped with a time delay so they would explode after
working time. Nobody was to be wounded. After the bomb in the
Employment Directorate was found, the police – out of fear – threw the
bomb out of the window, causing a premature explosion. People who passed
the Secretariat for Foreign Trade were slightly injured by glass
splinters, and they were treated on the spot.

We are warning the government: stop this puppet role for the IMF.
