DHKC 296: THE AKP IS KILLING AT HOME AS WELL AS ABROAD!

The 106th martyr in the Death Fast: Yusuf Araci

The 9th death in the F-Type prisons since the AKP came to power

The AKP (Justice and Development Party) government (in Turkey), whose hands are stained with the blood of Iraqis, now has its hands even more bloodstained than before in the F-Type prisons. The AKP is continuing its collaborationist and murderous «reign».

At 1030 on March 26, Yusuf ARICI, one of our Death Fast resisters from the 8th Team, died a martyr in the Numune Hospital. His corpse showed indications that he died following the torture of forcible medical intervention.
This is the work of the AKP.
Like the previous governments, this government too has been trying to break our resistance for months. The «Susurluk» Justice Minister is trying to force us into «renunciation». Those who made their impact on public opinion as «advocates of those whose opinions have been banned» want to achieve this objective through repression and isolation.
They understand that their approach was in vain.
For even if we die, our beliefs continue to live on.
The government has voted on new laws to legalise forcible medical intervention and to eliminate «the right to resist». This government continues to kill. Because it can do nothing else.
Their sole weapon is also murder. Like America, which murders those who do not surrender.

The accomplices in the massacres perpetrated in Iraq and those in the F-Type prisons are one and the same

If you search for those who thought up the F-Type prisons, who financed them and who practice prison isolation, you will also find the protagonists of the massacres committed in Iraq.
It has become clear that the F-Type prisons were built in the name of the IMF, America and Europe. The F-Type prisons were thought up to guarantee that greater pillaging could go on in order that imperialism could use our country as a pigsty and as a military base. The General Staff supported the F-Type prisons, calling their use «state policy». Several meetings of the National Security Council (MGK) discussed and issued decrees on «solving the prison problem ».
Finally it was the DSP-MHP-ANAP government which was charged with putting prison isolation into effect.
The AKP is pursuing the same policy today.
The AKP practises solitary confinement as a form of repression in the name of the IMF and America.
Today it is clear that the trio of the AKP, the Army General Staff and the USA are partners in the massacres perpetrated in Iraq. The General Staff ordered a motion to be «approved on supporting America». The AKP implemented this in its stride. America is murdering the Iraqi people, notably by letting them use the military bases and air space of our country.

Those who toady to the USA are playing “cat and mouse” with the people! They are breaching every boundary!

As with all policies of repression, the guardian of the F-Type isolation prison policy is the General Staff. The General Staff’s briefings state that the practices in the F-Type prisons are «state policy».
Consequently every death in the F-Type isolation prisons is at the same time a murder perpetrated by the generals.
It is their only area of knowledge and «success». They don’t dare say anything when America confronts them. The entire world has seen how they erased their «red line». The « red lines» were allegedly «state policy». So much so that parties with a majority as well as the opposition parties are forced to pursue this policy of the General Staff. However, the General Staff, which goes as far as sowing terror among the mainstream parties, does not dare to defend its state policy when confronted by America. When the USA starts to grumble, the General Staff acts like a confused lackey who has found that he has committed an error. Even his anguish is the expression of his loyalty.

It is not the cowardly generals who embody patriotism, but those like Yusuf Araci who are resisting imperialism and fascism!

Today one can see the true face of those who brag about being «nationalist».
On December 19 (2000) they were like the «commanders of a victorious army that nobody could resist». They put the prisons to fire and the sword. But confronted by the USA, they are cowardly and pathetic. For 33 years we have been pursuing a struggle for independence. Today we are the sole defenders of independence and the sole organisation which fights imperialism. While the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) are considered to be a «strategic partner» by the USA, the Revolutionary People’s Liberation Front (DHKC) is one of the organisations on the USA’s list of targets.
WE are in the USA’s line of fire. While the General Staff is seen as a strategic partner of the USA.
This is as clear as the water in a rock pool. The rest is just double talk.
Those who murder us in the prisons of our country are pro-American, it does not matter whether they are the AKP or the General Staff.
The General Staff and the AKP murder the patriots and revolutionaries of Turkey in partnership with the USA. Our comrades are murdered in the F-Type prisons by these « strategic partners».

An inflexible will confronting imperialism and its collaborators: Yusuf Araci

Our comrade Yusuf Araci pursued his resistance to hunger and tyranny for 330 days. He was part of the 8th Death Fast Team of volunteers. On May 1, 2002, he put on the red headband, the symbol of resistance.
Yusuf was born on October 16, 1971 at Iskenderun (Alexandretta, in southern Turkey). He ended 32 years of existence in the course of a war of wills in which he overcame his enemies. He came from an Arab and Alevi family (Nussayris).
He took the revolutionary road towards independence, democracy and socialism in 1995, when he was a student in the science faculty of Dicle (Tigris) University. At first he was involved in the youth organisation. He shared a flat with Refik Horoz, who was one of the four TÖDEF (Federation of Student Associations of Turkey) students murdered by the death squads on January 12, 1995. After this massacre, the revolutionary struggle became clearer in his mind.
He was first arrested in 1996, a little before the Death Fast in the same year. He took part in several actions to protest the repression in the prisons. In subsequent years he experienced torture.
The massacres and torture he witnessed in Diyarbakir reinforced his convictions and his involvement. In 1997, he became an organised militant. In 1998, he went underground. He took on numerous missions. Finally he was commander of one of our armed propaganda units in the Mediterranean Region. In August 2000, he was captured and imprisoned in Ceyhan.
In August 2000, the F-Type prison project was a major topic of discussion.
On December 19, he organised resistance alongside his comrades.
After the massacre, he was transferred to Sincan F-Type Prison. Then he resisted in his cell, showing conviction, willpower and patience.
Nothing diverted him from his resistance.

We are waving the flag of independence, democracy and socialism with Yusuf and those like him!

Our comrade Yusuf Araci told us what the revolutionary movement meant for him in these terms:

«Just as it makes a correct diagnosis, it puts into practice the correct therapy. Its policy is realistic and takes life into account… Today, we are more ready for revolution. For me, our movement is the expression of liberation, a force that puts back on the track those who are derailed by the system, a guide and a mind which will lead us to the final objective…. If we have a common aim like revolution, we must fight in order to reach it…. »

We are resisting and we are fighting.
We set out in the most unadorned manner the reality of dependence, fascism and imperialism and we propose as a solution independence, democracy and socialism.
Our comrade Yusuf Araci has shown the entire world and our people that:
We defend the interests of the people and we are resisting America.
Their mission is to murder. Ours is to create a country where there would be neither torture nor massacres.
Their mission is to collaborate. Ours is to defend independence.
Their mission is to pillage, steal, exploit and share their booty with their masters. Our mission is to ensure that the entire world is able to eat its fill.
Our comrade Yusuf Araci is the affirmation of resistance and of faith in victory.
We will win. Those who resist will win. In history it has always been like that.
We exist everywhere in the world. There are six billion of us. You can murder us. You can bombard us, burn us, tear us apart and dismember us, or put us in your isolation cells. That will not prevent us from winning. It will not change the result.
