HUSAMETTIN CINER Who Made Every Moment Of His Life Revolutionary

When the Ulucanlar massacre took place, our comrade Husamettin CINER was detained in Umraniye Prison. He was as much a witness of the massacre as prisoner. Shortly afterwards, he regained his freedom. Without wasting a moment, he demanded that he take on his tasks, aware that dignity depends on faithfulness towards one’s dreams, hopes and ideals. He was always enthusiastic.

He raised his weapon to his shoulder:
For those who are deprived of justice,
For those who demand justice and for this are beaten, tortured or murdered;
For the people;
And for the liberation of the people.

On October 5, at about 2150, in Istanbul’s Harbiye District, as a result of the premature explosion of the bomb meant to be a reprisal for the bestial slaughter of our comrades imprisoned in Ulucanlar, he was martyred and died as he wished, that is, as a fighter in an Armed Propaganda Unit.

HUSAMETTIN WAS WITH US. AND HE IS STILL WITH US!

Husamettin is a comrade of Laz nationality, born on March 5, 1975 at Hopa in Artvin province. (Note: the Laz are an ethnic group related to the Georgians. Hopa is on the Black Sea, close to the border with Georgia, and large numbers of Laz and Muslim Georgians live in the area.) In 1990, while still very young, he joined Liseli Dev-Genc (High School Revolutionary Youth) in Istanbul. While a member of Liseli Dev-Genc, he was active on the Asian side of Istanbul. The more he was active, the more he learned, and the more he learned the more militant he grew. In those times, when they tried to hold young people captive by encouraging them to drink from the trough of personal dissipation, he continued to fight for the ideals which ennobled his personality.

He was young and a high school pupil. He was a member of Liseli Dev-Genc. Full of enthusiasm, self-denial and a passion for Dev-Genc, he fought for the future in the ranks of Dev-Genc. Towards the end of 1991, he emigrated with his family to Ankara. There he was active in the Liseli Dev-Genc committee. He was detained and imprisoned for a short time in Ulucanlar. When he left prison, he extended his activities to the provinces of central Anatolia.

From 1993 to January 1994, he took on tasks within the Democratic Land Area Committee in Kayseri (city in central Anatolia, southeast of Ankara – known in Roman times as Caesarea). On January 18, 1994, he was detained and imprisoned at Kayseri. Once again, he knew how to overcome the torturers during his interrogation. During his captivity, the prison served as a school of revolution. Alongside his comrades, though there were very few of them, Husamettin resisted, surrendering neither to compulsion nor repression. He left prison in 1995 and rejoined his organisation to take on new tasks. He announced: “I am ready.” However, several mishaps temporarily prevented him from establishing
contact with the organisation. Although his family offered him material incentives, Husamettin waited patiently for the organisation to come to him.

The system lay in wait for him with all the means at its disposal, but he made a clean break with it. Indeed, he realised that the beauty of life depended upon it being dedicated to an ideal of the kind that motivated him. When he re-established contact, Husamettin was always ready. In the winter of 1997, he was active in the Marmara region. In a short time, he organised the people’s anger in the working-class quarters of Kocaeli against the filth that was exposed by the Susurluk scandal. During this, he ended up in prison again. Husamettin knew the torturers and they knew him. He resisted torture in line with the tradition of “giving up his life but not giving up his secrets”, a moral principle he treasured above all. He continued his combat as a Free Captive. He learned and he taught others. So he was a source of joy, a confidant, a teacher and a disciple for young and old, men and women, who came to visit him. In short he became “Husam” for everybody.

HUSAMETTIN WAS WITH US. AND HE IS STILL WITH US!

Husamettin knew that being a revolutionary meant teaching the masses, being productive and gathering in the results of his labour, whether he was behind prison walls or working on the outside. he never narrowed his personality or hid it behind four walls. With his dreams, thoughts and his existence, he knew how to remain a revolutionary. Husamettin, became justice in the face of injustice; honour and dignity in the face of dishonour; resistance and anger in the face of massacres. He demanded a reckoning!

HUSAMETTIN WAS WITH US. AND HE IS STILL WITH US!

In the schools, in the streets, in the shantytowns, in the workshops, in the prisons, thousands of Husamettins are waiting to demand a reckoning. Trusting in the people and in the fighters for the liberation of the people and the flag of liberation which he carried with dignity, our comrade Husamettin CINER has become immortal as a guerrilla, as he always wished.
“I AM IN THIS FIGHT FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE,” he liked to remind others, and in fact he did what he said.

“The Party has devoted efforts to me, as with other comrades. I have acquired, we have acquired experience of life. We have given martyrs. In this country, there are thousands of reasons to be a revolutionary. That is why I never hesitated to be active. Also, I am in this fight for the rest of my life. I express myself more serenely and with more self-confidence. Tomorrow, I will be even stronger. I do not envisage an existence outside the struggle. But I know that the real question that must be posed is the manner in which one dedicates oneself to it. To be a human being in all situations and a fighter in this movement is first of all an obligation but also a source of enthusiasm, of pleasure, of pride and of happiness. I consider the Party-Front to be invincible. This is unquestionably revealed by its ideology, its leadership, history and the traditions it has generated. I see the Movement as my family. To be outside the Movement suffocates and weakens you; you can no more live than a fish that has been removed from the water.”

WE WILL CONTINUE TO DEMAND A RECKONING FOR THE ULUCANLAR MASSACRE

It is necessary to know that this country and its people are not defenceless and are not devoid of justice. Nobody should think that they will “burn, plunder, murder, torture, enrich themselves and get away with it.” Nobody can comfort themselves with this thought. This is because in this country, there is people’s justice.

This is because in this country, there is revolutionary justice.
This is because in this country, to apply people’s justice, there are many more Husamettins, many more supporters of the Front. Nobody should be worried, because whatever the price, accounts will be settled and justice implemented.

NO FORCE IS SUPERIOR TO THE REVOLUTIONARY WILL WHICH IS PREPARED TO SUFFER LOSSES SO AS TO MAKE THE GUILTY PAY

A year has passed since the Ulucanlar massacre. While the murderers continue to prepare plans for bloody assaults, the mutilated survivors of Ulucanlar are being put on trial. The relatives of the prisoners are beaten with clubs. Attacks are carried out in the prisons of Burdur and Bergama and the authorities are attempting to put the “F-Type” prisons into service. Are attacks, torture, massacres and the general insecurity of the prisoners legitimate? No!

In a country where all these things are committed and justice does not exist, then revolutionary violence is legitimate. It should be known that while revolutionary violence exists, the murderers cannot walk around casually, nor sleep peacefully in their villas or their yalis (seaside villas widespread along the Bosporus). If the murderers think they have succeeded in hiding their massacres, attacks, tortures and horrors of every description, they are making a mistake!

There will always be new Husamettins who come from the Turkish, Kurdish, Laz, Arab and all nationalities of our country and avenge our comrades. We will settle accounts with the murderers, without respite and whatever the price.

We will take vengeance for the blood that has been spilled and we will never abandon this blood to the murderers. Do not forget: to settle accounts with the owners of this plundering and tyrannical system, we will take them by surprise in unexpected and unsuspected places.

OUR COMRADE HUSAMETTIN CINER IS IMMORTAL!

LONG LIVE OUR ARMED PROPAGANDA UNITS!

LONG LIVE THE REVOLUTIONARY PEOPLE’S LIBERATION PARTY-FRONT!

PS: The information that Husamettin tried to get inside the House of the Army in Harbiye and was stopped by soldiers is false. Moreover, the intended target of the bomb was not the House of the Army. All the news disseminated on this subject is fabricated.
