Declaration of the People’s Front in Europe on the occasion of the upcoming May 1st

ON MAY 1ST, DESPITE THE CORONAVIRUS, LET’S BE ON THE STREETS AND SQUARES!

AGAINST THE CORONAVIRUS OF CAPITALISM, IN THE NAME OF THE RIGHT FOR HEALTHCARE FOR THE PEOPLE!

AGAINST THE RACISM OF IMPERIALISM, IN THE NAME OF THE UNITY OF THE WORKING CLASS PEOPLE!

AGAINST THE TYRANNY OF FASCISM, IN THE NAME OF OUR RESISTANCE FOR JUSTICE!

LET’S WAVE THE RED FLAG OF SOCIALISM!

AGAINST IMPERIALISM-CAPITALISM, LET’S TAKE TO THE SQUARES AGAINST FASCISM!

LONG LIVE UNITY, STRUGGLE, AND SOLIDARITY!

We are going through a period where it is once again seen that capitalism cannot be a solution to any of the problems of the peoples of the world.

The capitalist system collapsed in the face of the coronavirus pandemic, once again proving to be a system that had nothing to do with people’s interests and needs. In the face of the coronavirus pandemic, the peoples were de facto doomed to die and left to struggle with it as they could, the “great” and “powerful” imperialist – capitalist countries were unable to find test kits and provide the necessary numbers of respirators.

WE ARE ON THE SQUARES IN THE NAME OF SOCIALISM!

In the situation created by the coronavirus pandemic, some make conclusions that “nothing will be as it used to be.” This is not a correct conclusion.

The fate of the world and the peoples will not change by itself.

The fate of the world and peoples can only be changed through revolutions.

The world can only be changed if peoples organize and struggle.

WE WILL TAKE OUR RESISTANCE FOR JUSTICE ON THE STREETS AND SQUARES!

In our country, there is still resistance (the hunger strikes of the Grup Yorum and political prisoners), this resistance in which we gave two martyrs, is rising the flag of justice, against the tyranny and lawlessness of fascism.

According to the tradition dating back to 1977, the workers and revolutionaries in our country will try to celebrate May 1st, again on Taksim Square, in Istanbul, on the May Day Square of all workers.

Members and supporters of the People’s Front say, from Mehmet Akif to Helin and Mustafa[1], with our songs, with our stones in our hands, with our hunger on May 1st we will be on Taksim.

Against the tyranny of fascism in our country, despite the bans of imperialism in Europe, and everywhere we are, despite the coronavirus, we say – Long live 1 May!

Because May 1st is – THE DAY FOR UNITY, STRUGGLE, AND SOLIDARITY OF THE WORKERS!

Because May 1 is the day in which we strengthen the struggle for socialism against capitalism.

We call on to all members and supporters of the People’s Front;

There are different conditions in different countries in Europe;

Wherever we are, let us aim for May 1 to take out with our red flags, on the streets, and squares on which May 1st is celebrated every year.

Considering the rules related to the pandemic of the coronavirus, we put on masks, put on gloves, keeping a distance between each other, go out into the streets and squares with our red flags. 1 person, 40 people, 100 people, it doesn’t matter, the important thing is to go out that day.

To take to the streets on this day means to show that the peoples of the world cannot be crushed.

To take to the streets on this day means to show that the only alternative to capitalism is socialism.

To take to the streets on this day means to show, it means to send our greetings to our resistance of the Death Fast!

In places where for various reasons it is impossible to go out on to the streets, let’s go out in front of our homes, on the street, in the neighborhood where we live, with red flags. Say aloud – May 1 May !, make short speeches about the importance of May 1. Even at that moment, if no one was on the street, that voice would be heard. These voices will unite and resonate throughout Europe.

Let’s wave red flags from the balconies of our homes, if we don’t have a banner, it could be a piece of red cloth or a T-shirt. The mission, to remind and show everyone that this day is May 1st, around the world, that this day is the day of socialism, falls to the members and supporters of the People’s Front.

We call on to our people in Europe!

Turks, Kurds, Arabs, Laz people, Circassians, Bosniaks, Roma, Arameans, Terekeme, our people of all nationalities, ethnicities, and religions!

We now have to go out on the streets for our rights, in Europe. Let’s not stay in our homes, and do not wait for the death of the coronavirus! Let’s curse this system, which does not provide us with test kits, and dooms us to death. Let us curse racism unite against those who humiliate us.
We urge you to go out to the squares where May 1 is celebrated, in the settlements where you live.

Where this is not possible, we urge you to post on your home windows posters saying: May 1 May and share this slogan in your social networking profiles.

From Mehmet Akif to Helin and Mustafa, with our songs, with the stones in our hands, with our hunger we fight!

Mehmet Akif, Hellin, and Mustafa fought for a free and just world.
Their struggle will continue to live with us on May 1st.

Long Live 1 May!

Long live unity, struggle, and solidarity!

Long Live the Resistance!
